Recensione: Robots In Disguise – Happyness V Sadness

With great pleasure, I wanna remember this band that I met in 2011. They are RID-Robots in Disguise! Dee Plume (guitar and vox) and Sue Denim (bass and vox), backed live by Ann Droid (drums and vox), are like a single whole of mind, soul and body. Attending their gigs I felt wildly pushed to dance their electro-indie-rock-dance sound (picture: fans on the stage, Sound Control, Manchester). Irresistible rhythms, ironic-satiric lyrics, crazy-funny shows, these girls have a great talent to continue their music career well and better.

After eleven years of hard working and lovely trips around UK, Europe and Japan, and supporting Gary Numan, Cyndi Lauper and The Gossip, RID realized Happiness V Sadness, fourth poptastic album.. with a little help from their fans, whose ‘pledges’ paid for its production!

I am sorry that I cannot find last news about them, and hope to see Dee and Sue again, maybe in Rome?

Finally I want to say goodbye to you sharing a gritty expression written by RID:

“Not only will we make our best ever record for your listening pleasure, but part of the proceeds will go to benefit the Alzheimer’s Society (http://www.alzheimers.org.uk)

We love you Robot Patrol!”

With love to Alzheimer’s Society too.
