A piece of musical history from Manchester, I mean Madchester. Do you remember the Happy Mondays? Well, I am talking about their ‘little brothers’: the Inspiral Carpets.
After years of dynamic changing, also scaring their fans with a pretty long suspected split, the Inspiral Carpets have recently reformed with the original singer and founder member Stephen Holt. Then a brilliant tour around UK last March, a clever collaboration with the Charlatans front-man Tim Burgess, and a new single is done!
Psychedelic and garrage-rock sounds are always their winner horse. So the lovely classic Carpets are not only keeping dancing and singing lots of fans, but are also addicting to their irresistible vibrations new young hearts.
The next appointment is on the 20th of April to celebrate the Record Store Day 2013: a unique collaboration between the Carpets and Tim Burgess to release a 7” single with two brand new tracks: ‘Fix Your Smile’ and ‘Save Me’. Attention folks, a limited edition of the new single will be available on OGenesis Records on the Record Store Day. So, guys write down that special event on your diary!
For who of us is too far away (like me actually), ‘Fix Your Smile’ will be available as a digital download in about two weeks (4th May).
